1996: Patrick Peal breaks loose from Group Lotus after five years heading up the communications department. He freelances with Band & Brown Communications in London, and quickly hatches a plan with Nick Band to establish an office closer to his home in Norfolk
1997: Band & Brown Communications in the east of England opens for business – in a shed in Patrick’s garden
2000: Donna Chessum (neƩ Barker) leaves her post as corporate brand manager at Norwich Union to join Patrick as co-director, and the agency moves into new offices in Norwich
2004: Five-strong and bursting out of its old offices, the agency moves to The Grange on the northern perimeter of Norwich
2006: The agency wins Team of the Year for the second year in a row at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) East Anglia PRide Awards
2008: The agency celebrates ten successful years in business and re-brands as Tribe to reflect its individual culture and independent streak. Tribe wins Team of the Year once more at the CIPR East Anglia PRide Awards
2009: Tribe comprises 11 staff and an elephant, Aimee Mimosa. We are proud to have been finalists in the EDP Business Awards for Staff Care / Staff Development for the last three years
2009: We launch TribeTV, a cost effective video production service to produce and distribute video content online. Online communications become integral to the PR plans for many of our clients
2010: Tribe Training becomes another new service to help clients communicate more effectively. Workshops and 1-2-1 training sessions cover the PR basics to crisis communications and using social media
2011: Tribe wins the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Outstanding Consultancy of the Year (East Anglia) - for the fifth time in seven years
2012: Tribe achieves the gold standard of service for the PR industry – the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Consultancy Management Standard. The internationally recognised Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) is the industry’s quality certification system for public relations firms.
