Forging new friendships at Norwich Comedy Festival
07 Aug 08
Tribe got the giggles with members of the local media at the 3rd Annual Norwich Comedy Festival on Wednesday night (6 August).
Tribe treated journalists to a picnic in the park before taking to the marquee to watch four top comedians. Some of Norfolk's largest media outlets were represented on the evening, including the BBC, Radio Broadland and the Eastern Daily Press.
Account manager Susie Lockwood, who organised the night out, said: “It's important that we get to know the media with whom we have regular dealings. A certain amount of this can be done through the work we do for our clients, but getting together in an informal setting where there is no purpose other than to chat and have fun is really effective way of building relationships. Although there was a bit of talking shop, there was no agenda for the evening other than to have a good night - and we all did so mission accomplished.
“The weather, which was awful for the rest of the week, was great for our picnic and the atmosphere when we walked through the gates really was like a mini festival. The unanimous pick of the bunch from the stand-up performances was the MC Jarred Christmas - catch him if you can, you won't be disappointed.”
Tribe is planning on making this kind of event a regular fixture and the comedy night set the bar very high. Members of the Tribe will be racking their brains for some more fun ideas in the near future.
