New online game gives drivers cash discounts on insurance
A new online driving game is giving players the chance to turn their virtual prowess into real-life cash discounts on car insurance.

Demolition Dodge, released by specialist insurance broker Adrian Flux, rewards gamers with vouchers of up to £50 depending on how long they can survive the demolition derby before their car explodes.

And everyone who plays the game gets the chance to enter a draw to win £1,000.

Tribe provides PR services for insurers Adrian Flux to promote its wide range of insurance products.

Gerry Bucke, general manager at Flux, said: “Being good at most online games just gives you bragging rights over your mates, but we thought we’d add a little extra incentive by giving people real-life rewards linked to their virtual driving skills.

“It’s good fun and, judging by the high scores, there are some seriously nimble-fingered gamers out there!”

Players choose from a number of cars with varying speed, handling and durability – from a top of the range Aston Martin to a super-tough Land Rover, and even a classic AC Cobra. You can also pimp your ride with a custom paint job.

The arena starts off with just a handful of opponents but as the game progresses, the traffic gets heavier and carnage becomes harder to avoid.

As in everyday life on the roads, the aim of the game is to not crash! But unlike the real world there are special bonuses to help you avoid destruction, including damage repair, invisibility, speed boosts and shields.

The longer you can stay in the game before your car is destroyed, the more money you can save on your insurance premium.
