Tribe joined the cream of East Anglia’s business community for the 20th annual EDP Business Awards on Friday night (9 September) as finalists in the Staff Development Award category.
Hosted by BBC Look East’s Stewart White, the awards ceremony attracted more than 250 people representing 27 companies competing for the honours across 10 award categories.
Tribe was shortlisted for the Staff Development Award sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). On the night, the agency was pipped to the post by The Lavender House which scooped the top prize. However, Tribe was still presented with a finalist’s trophy, (which has joined our awards gallery!) in recognition of the company’s ongoing commitment to staff development.
Tribe’s managing director Patrick Peal said: “We were up against some strong competition in this category - our congratulations go to Richard Hughes and all at The Lavender House. At least it was a former client with a very strong reputation for staff development that pipped us to the post!
“We’re delighted to have been a finalist in this category once again. Tribe lives or dies on the strength of its people. As a public relations agency we don’t make anything, but the Tribe team does make things happen! That’s why being recognised in this category means so much to us, because so many of the initiatives which resulted in us being shortlisted have not only come from people within the agency but have also been run by them. It’s fantastic to see their care and efforts rewarded”.
Tribe would also like to congratulate its client Further Search Marketing on scooping the Best New Business award.
