Tribe delivers social media workshop for Greene King
Greene King landladies from across England were treated to a whistle stop tour of cyberspace by Tribesters Donna Chessum and Dawn Humphreys as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week which took place in November.

Tribe were invited to deliver the workshop as part of Greene King’s all-female event Women Mean Business 2009 held at Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire on 19 November. The 30 minute session included ideas for using Twitter, Facebook, blogs and social bookmarking as ways of pulling in more punters, women in particular, to pubs.

The Women Mean Business event was held during Global Entrepreneurship Week (which Tribe has also been busy promoting for our client Make your Mark). It was designed to help landladies make their businesses more successful and to encourage other women to go into business themselves. There were also some pampering opportunities at the beautifully pink themed event including hand massages to treat the busy female entrepreneurs – which of course the two Tribesters also took the time to indulge in while they were there!

The inspirational day was led by Caroline Hollings, director of recruitment and training for Greene King, and other speakers included Jill Besson director of Fraser Giles Partnership who talked about successful recruitment and image consultant Kate Parker who encouraged the landladies to look at style and image and how this impacts on their working life as well as their social life.

The successful event was covered by local Hertfordshire radio stations including Hertbeat FM and BBC Three Counties and on TV by BBC Look East.
