Two days into the Vocal Local CabCam tour of Norfolk, and already over one hundred people have taken the chance to sit in the hot seat and talk about important local issues.
The How to be a
Vocal Local campaign, run by the Norfolk County Strategic Partnership, aims to show how easy it is for people to have their say, and highlights how ordinary people who care about their communities are making things happen and making a difference.
The campaign’s CabCam, a mobile video recording studio disguised as a traditional black cab, has been travelling the county to give people the chance to record messages on local issues.
The CabCam has been on tour since Tuesday (13 July) visiting Dereham, Hunstanton, Great Yarmouth and Norwich to date. Today will see the mobile video diary room travel to Fakenham and Poringland, and on Friday it will roll in to Diss and back to Norwich in the afternoon to complete the tour.
Tribe has worked with the local authorities in each area to organise and coordinate the events, and Tribe staff have been travelling with the CabCam to help encourage residents to take the opportunity to have their say.
Account executive Lucy Clegg, who has led on co-ordinating the roadshows, said: “When we are parked up in the town centres, the CabCam has been a real talking point. We’re delighted at the number of people who’ve already recorded messages, and we hope that today and tomorrow will be just as successful. It’s a fun and quirky way to gather views and many people have likened it to a Big Brother-style diary room experience.”
So in the style of Davina McCall; you are live on Vocal Local CabCam – please do not swear! We’re coming to get your views....
