Over 80 news articles highlighting the importance of Apprenticeships were featured in the region’s media this month – following a busy National Apprenticeship Week supported by Tribe.
Tribe is the regional PR agency for the National Apprenticeship Service in the east of England. With National Apprenticeship Week and other events including an Apprenticeship master class with Marco Pierre White taking place in February, Tribe was tasked with helping to generate media coverage to highlight the importance of Apprenticeships.
Skills shortages are still one of the biggest threats to businesses, and Apprenticeships are a vital way of improving the skills of staff and generating a committed and valuable workforce. For young people, Apprenticeships provide a successful way of developing skills and achieving qualifications while they are employed in a job.
National Apprenticeship Week was packed with activity across the east of England to highlight the benefits of Apprenticeships, including job swaps by local MPs, college principals, chief executives of County Councils and local Mayors - who all went back to the shop floor to meet apprentices and hear about their experiences. To read one of the news articles featured during Apprenticeship Week, which included coverage of a
job-swap by Norfolk County Council’s chief executive David White, visit the Norwich Evening News website.
The busy Apprenticeship-focused month was rounded off by a master class with celeb chef Marco Pierre White at his London restaurant ‘Wheelers’ on Tuesday 23 February.
An ex-apprentice himself and the youngest chef ever to have been awarded three Michelin stars, Marco spent the morning with 15 budding catering apprentices including James Smith from Shipdham in Norfolk.
